Tariq Issa

Hello! My name is Tariq. I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Alberta. Through my experiences in the education system, I gained an understanding of the experiences of growing up in a vulnerable community and the impact it had on access to education. This personal understanding drives my passion to give back and support individuals facing similar barriers. I am dedicated to providing workshops and mentorship programs that aim to bridge the gap in education access for these communities. My experiences with the education system have taught me the importance of creating opportunities for those who may not have had the same opportunities as me, and I am determined to make a positive impact in this way. Fun fact, enjoy immersing myself in many different sports as I really enjoy learning and appreciating the different forms of physical activity. Lately, I have been getting crossed over by Abdullahi in soccer!
