Ehab Chamseddine
Hi all! My name is Ehab Chamseddine. I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Alberta. As a first-generation student with no immediate family members who have attended university, navigating my first year at university posed significant challenges. However, this journey has underscored the profound value of having a mentor and a strong support network.

Recognizing the transformative power of mentorship and drawing upon my own experiences, both on and off campus, as well as my involvement in non-profit organizations, I joined forces with other passionate individuals to establish the Edmonton Education Equality Society (EEES). Our shared vision is to empower and support youth hailing from marginalized populations, including BIPOC, LGBTQ2SA+, immigrants, and those from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Through EEES, we strive to provide invaluable mentorship, free resources, and tutoring sessions.

By acknowledging the unique hurdles that individuals from these backgrounds face, we actively confront these disparities head-on. Our ultimate goal is to foster a level playing field where every student has the opportunity to thrive and excel in their post-secondary pursuits. Together, we are committed to creating a brighter and more equitable future for all.
