Asma Omar

Hello! My name is Asma Omar. I recently graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Political Science and double minor in English and Philosophy. As someone who was deeply enriched by my experience in pursuing education, I know just how valuable knowledge and the access to knowledge is. I am also acutely aware of the challenges posed by systemic and institutional obstacles that prevent individuals from accessing education and higher learning institutions. Thanks to the help and encouragement of my family, friends, professors, and mentors, I was able to advance in my education. As a result, I feel a sense of obligation to offer guidance and support to students and young learners as they navigate their lives.
